I was looking through a nice long list of listings in the MLS today for a client and came across another sad excuse for property photo. Keep in mind that in our MLS we are able to load a maximum of 6 photos, with one of the six being selected as the primary photo. This gem of a photo below was, of course, the primary photo for this home. It’s sad to see that whomever this agent is, doesn’t even care enough to move, what I’m assuming is, his own care from the front of the home before taking the photo. Or maybe he wants everyone to know that he drives a 1998 Mercedes-Benz……”SWEET!!!”. Whatever the story is, it’s horrible that this is the first image that a potential buyer is seeing when looking at this person’s house. I wonder if the owner knows that this is the primary photo for the marketing of their home?

Never ceases to amaze me….
You should send this to Athol Kay for his “Bad MLS Photo of the Day” series. It’s hilarious, though sad…

Steve, for a minute I thought I was looking at an Auto Trader ad.. How much was he asking? And was that an automatic transmission?
Jay, I had never seen Athol’s site - thanks for the tip. That helped generate my required laughter for the afternoon!

Thanks Jay. I just sent Athol the photo for his “Bad MLS Photo of the Day” series. I especially liked the “Git-R-Done” photo with the confederate flag hanging on the wall. I wonder if it conveys with the sale of the home.
As for my photo, it wasn’t enough for this agent to leave his/her car parked in front of the house while taking the photos, but he/she also parked the car right in front of the driveway. Who the heck does that?? Maybe that’s his/her way of telling the homeowners, “We’re not leaving here until you sign my listing contract!”
I love finding these kinds of photos. It lightens up my day a little bit.
P.S. I have a mental picture of what this agent looks like, but since we are equal opportunity real estate agents over here, I had to add “she” and “her” when describing him/her, if you know what I mean?!?!?
