Meet Heidi Alexander
Family:
I live here in the Valley of the Sun (Phoenix) with my two daughters, my partner Paul, and our furry family members of dogs and cats.
Education:
Being a Phoenix native, I attended elementary through High School in the Phoenix area, as well as obtaining my Bachelor’s Degree in Interdisciplinary Humanities with Summa Cum Laude Honors from ASU in 1997. I believe life is a learning process in itself, and strive to continually learn and grow from all aspects of life.
Activities I Enjoy:
My passion in life is for the art of BellyDance. I have been dancing since 1987 and traveled all over the US as well as Japan, the UK, and Ireland, teaching and performing with my group Domba. Domba is known world-wide in the BellyDance community for our dedication to the dance, as well as our energy and passion! I opened the Domba BellyDance Studio in Tempe, AZ. in 2002 and sold it to a fellow dancer in 2006 in order to have more time with my family. I still teach BellyDance here and there, as I don’t think I’ll ever give it up completely!
I also love to travel, especially internationally. It is such an adventure each time I travel to another country, experiencing the differences and similarities in food, customs and the way we all live life. I learn so much from traveling and have lots of plans for the next places I’d like to visit!
